Clothing company No Love City is planning to release a series of tees commemorating the man that not only changed hip hop, but people’s lives.
For those who don’t know, J Dilla was an American record producer who emerged heavily in the 90’s underground hip-hop scene. He was one of the music industry’s most influential hip-hop artists, working for big-name acts including A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, The Pharcyde and Common. In February 2006, J Dilla died from a rare blood disorder known as Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura.
The shirts will only be available through Kickstarter until May 24, 2013. All proceeds from the shirts go to the J Dilla Foundation, a program to help fund inner city music programs. So please help the fellas at No Love City by funding this project, it’s a hot shirt and its for a good cause.
